HOW TO USE THE ADVENTURES OF WEBSTER & WANDA IN YOUR CLASSROOM

Webster & Wanda host the Learning Lab adventure series – an interactive and in-person experience where they explore educational lessons on important science-based topics that affect our county. You can use the adventures in your classroom. Here are some ideas!

  • Celebrate Mosquito Awareness Month in April by watching the original Webster & Wanda adventure in your classroom. The What Bugs You School Tour is the perfect way to learn about mosquitoes, how to prevent bites and play fun games all while following Next Generation Science Standards!
  • Rainy day? No problem. Explore the wacky world of ticks and go to the field with a real vector control technician.
  • Assign some homework that’s educational and actually fun! Encourage your students to watch the pet heartworm adventure at home with their pets. They will hear from a real veterinarian about how to protect their pets from mosquitoes and ticks.
  • Spice up your lesson plans about bees and bugs and watch the yellowjackets adventure to learn why yellowjackets are a vector too.
  • Once you’ve watched them all, revisit the adventures with the Webster & Wanda rewind.
